Welcome to our campaign website ...

I am Richard G Mack, Jr. I am running for Wayne State University Board of Governors and humbly ask for your support.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and Political Science (1995), I attended Wayne State University Law School. While there, I was the founder and first Editor of the Law School’s second student-lead scholarly journal: the Journal on Law in Society. Nearly thirty years later, the Journal is considered equal with the Law Review and still publishes amazing articles from a progressive angle.
Since graduating (1998), I’ve used my degree to represent unions, workers and those who have had their civil rights and other legal protections illegally denied. I’ve spent my career at the Miller Cohen law firm, founded by labor law legend Bruce Miller. As we represent dozens of private, public and federal sector unions across the state and country, we have never - and will never - represent employers. Unless, that is, the employer happens to also be a union. We consider our attorneys as more than litigators and legal practitioners, but we are part of the labor movement.
Personally, I consider it an amazing blessing that I am able to make a living in the fight for working people and others who are disadvantaged. Without hesitation, I have rejected other much more lucrative opportunities to stay in this fight.

Below our campaign will outline for you what we feel Richard can bring to Wayne State University, and what policy initiatives he has. But Richard's first priority is to hear from you! Richard realizes that the workers, students and community members who interact with the University have seen what needs changing. Your voice matters to the People's Warrior!
So please, at the end of the page, drop us a line and share your thoughts about concerns you have with WSU, or how you envision its future!

Richard truly appreciates the endorsement of the People's Coalition!
