Who is Richard Mack?
I am running for Wayne State University Board of Governors, and I humbly ask for your support.
I am a union-side (never employer side) labor and civil rights attorney, for the last 28 years. I have negotiated several dozen labor contracts for unions, with universities and other public employers across the state; including for a 27-union coalition during the Detroit bankruptcy.
I want to use my experience of wading through government budgets to help deliver a top-notch education for students, while fairly compensating the faculty and staff who make that education possible.
I am an active Democrat, serving on the Executive Board for the 13th Congressional District Democratic Party Committee.
I am a civil rights litigator, passionate about protecting the free speech rights of all on campus, and protecting academic freedoms against illegal interference from the outside.
I am driven to help make WSU more affordable, safe, and connected to the entire state of Michigan.

Below our campaign will outline for you what we feel Richard can bring to Wayne State University, and what policy initiatives he has. But Richard's first priority is to hear from you! Richard realizes that the workers, students and community members who interact with the University have seen what needs changing. Your voice matters to the People's Warrior!
